Molasses Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. molasses
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. plain flour
Preparation
    Mix
    shortening,
    brown sugar, molasses and eggs.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add buttermilk.
    Mix spices in flour.
    Add soda and salt to\tflour.\tAdd
    flour
    mixture by hand.
    Stir until smooth. Spread
    thin
    in
    cake pans (8 1/2 x 11 1/2-inch) and bake at 350\u00b0.
    This should make 5 or 6 thin layers.
