Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 c. coffee
    1/4 c. milk
    1 c. mashed potatoes (hot)
    4 eggs
    raisins and nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) cake pans.
    Cream together until fluffy, sugar and shortening.
    Beat in thoroughly 4 eggs.
    Sift together all dry ingredients.
    Fold in mashed potatoes.
    Add coffee and milk mixture alternately with flour; fold in raisins, nuts and vanilla.
    Bake in 275\u00b0 oven 45 minutes or until done. Cool and ice with chocolate frosting.
