Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 c. light cream or half and half
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1 pt. shucked oysters and juice
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Heat milk with cream in a medium-size saucepan over low heat until bubbles appear around edge (do not boil); stir in salt and paprika.
    Heat oysters and juice in butter in a medium-size saucepan until oyster edges begin to curl.
    Stir in scalded milk mixture.
    Ladle into soup bowls or mugs.
