Hot Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dried beans
2 lb. ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, rinsed and chopped
3 to 5 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. celery salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
4 c. cocktail vegetable juice
Preparation

Sort and wash beans. Put in Dutch oven.
Cover with water and bring to a boil.
Cover and cook 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Let stand 1 hour.
Bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour or until tender.
Drain beans and set aside.
Combine ground beef, onion, garlic and jalapeno in large Dutch oven.
Cook over medium heat, stirring to crumble meat, until meat is browned.
Drain off drippings.
Add beans and remaining ingredients.
Stir well. Cover and simmer 1 hour.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
