Canned Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes
    3 lb. onions
    1 1/2 green peppers
    1 hot pepper
    1 garlic bulb or 3 tsp. garlic powder
    1 pt. oil
    1/2 c. salt
    1 Tbsp. basil
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    5 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
Preparation
    Cook tomatoes, onions, peppers and garlic; run through sieve into very large stock pot.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until desired consistency is reached.
    Place in jars and cover with hot lids; process in hot water bath.
    Process pints for 5 minutes and quarts for 10 minutes.
    Cooked ground beef can be added when jars are opened.
    Makes 19 pints.
