Bulkogi (Korea) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. flank steak *
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    4 cloves garlic, crushed
    5 Tbsp. soy sauce
    5 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. sesame seed, crushed
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. crushed black pepper
    3 Tbsp. dry sherry
    3 Tbsp. diagonally sliced scallions (optional)
Preparation
    Slice steak across the grain in very thin slices, no more than 1/4-inch thick.
    In a small bowl, combine rest of ingredients, except scallions, to make marinade; mix well.
    Pour marinade over steak, coating well.
    Let stand in refrigerator, covered, about 2 hours.
