Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. onion, chopped
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1 can tomatoes
8 oz. can tomato sauce
16 oz. can red kidney beans, drained
1 tsp. salt
1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
1 bay leaf (optional)
Preparation

In heavy skillet, cook meat, onion and pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender.
Drain, stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover; simmer 1 hour.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
