Scotch Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water
3 Tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift sugar with flour and salt.
In saucepan, put margarine, shortening, water and cocoa.
Bring to a boil.
Pour over flour/sugar mixture.
Stir soda into buttermilk.
Add to batter along with eggs and vanilla.
Mix well.
Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Pour following frosting over hot cake.
