Apple Crisp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium size apples (4 c.)
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. pastry flour
4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Pare apples and slice very thin.
Blend sugar, flour and butter, keeping ingredients cold so that the resulting mixture will be crumbly.
Butter a casserole or baking pan.
Lay apples in it and sprinkle with cinnamon. Add the water and spread over the crumbly mixture. Bake, uncovered, in a moderate oven at 400\u00b0 for about 50 minutes.
Serve with or without whipped cream.
