Porcupines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. dates, cut up
2 beaten eggs
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. Rice Krispies
nuts (optional)
Preparation

Stir together in frying pan.
Melt shortening first.
Stir in dates, egg mixture.
Stir until thickens.
Cool a little and add 3 cups Rice Krispies in bowl.
Pour mixture over all.
Add nuts. Grease hands.
Roll into small balls.
Roll in coconut.
