Scratch Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk (more or less)
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add sugar. Mix well.
    Add salt, baking powder and vanilla.
    Alternate flour and milk.
    Mix well.
    Makes a layer cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
