Delicious Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine or butter (do not substitute soft spread)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 (5 oz.) can Carnation condensed milk
    1 dash salt
    12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cook butter, sugar, milk and salt over low heat (never rush this part).
    Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.
    When mixture boils, keep boiling over low heat for 5 minutes without stirring.
    Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and nuts. Stir for a minute, then pour into 8 x 8-inch lined pan.
    Cool in fridge for a couple hours until set.
    Lift out and cut into squares.
