Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
    cucumbers
    onions
Preparation
    Pack sliced
    cucumbers and onions (about 3) in a gallon jug. Pour
    mixture
    (cold)
    over
    cucumbers.
    Let
    stand
    in refrigerator for 5\tdays
    and they are ready to eat. Will keep in refrigerator for 6 months.
