Corn Bread Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground meat (beef or deer)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 can tomato soup
    1 can pinto beans
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. cornmeal
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg (optional)
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. milk or buttermilk
    1 tsp. oil
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown ground meat in pan and drain.
    Add onion, tomato soup, beans, chili powder, water, salt and pepper.
    Simmer a few minutes.
    Put in an 8 x 12-inch glass casserole dish.
    Mix all remaining ingredients and spoon on top of ground meat mixture, in small mounds.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    This makes a meal if you add a salad or slaw.
