Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Work together with fingers.
    Pat dough into small cakes, 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick.
    Bake on ungreased sheets at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Turn oven up to 350\u00b0 and brown for 5 minutes.
    Watch closely, so they don't get too brown.
    Cut immediately on cookie sheet and cool.
    Store in airtight container.
    Makes 4 to 5 cakes.
    Doubles easily.
