Washington D. C. Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. diced ham
    1 small chopped onion
    3 to 4 stalks celery, diced
    2 cans bean with bacon soup
    1 can cream of potato soup
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. parsley
    3 cans water
Preparation
    Brown ham lightly in 2 tablespoons butter.
    Push to one side and cook the onion and celery until tender.
    Mix in crock-pot: ham, onion, celery and all other ingredients.
    Simmer several hours, stirring occasionally.
