Apple Cobbler Number 1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. red apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1-inch chunks
    1 pkg. cake mix
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 bag brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg (more or less)
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon (more or less)
    1 c. Slice or Sprite
Preparation
    Put
    apples in 14-inch Dutch oven in layers with pieces of butter, brown sugar and spices.
    This should fill the pan. Cook over fire or coals until the apples are tender.
    Mix cake mix
    and Sprite
    together; pour over apples.
    Cook/bake until the top
    of the cake is brown.
    Serve hot or let set overnight for a good breakfast treat.
