Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. canola oil
    1 small onion
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 1/2 c. corn
    2 c. milk
    1 c. light cream or evaporated milk
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    3/4 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Heat oil.
    Saute onion until soft.
    Stir in flour.
    Add corn. Gradually stir in milk.
    Continue to stir until thick.
    Add sugar, salt, white pepper, thyme and cream or evaporated milk.
    Blend well.
    Serve hot.
