Goonie Birds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    3/4 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    6 oz. milk chocolate chips
    1/8 tsp. peppermint extract
    green or red food coloring
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites until fluffy. Gradually add sugar; continue beating.
    Add salt, 2 or 3 drops of food coloring and the peppermint extract.
    Beat until stiff.
    Fold in chocolate chips.
    Cover cookie sheet with tinfoil; do not grease.
    Place by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet; put in oven. Keep heat on for about 5 minutes.
    Turn off heat.
    Let stand in closed oven several hours or overnight.
