Armenian Lamb Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cubed lamb (leg or shoulder)
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch squares
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes with liquid
    2 tsp. oregano
Preparation
    Brown lamb in butter.
    Add onion, green pepper and mushrooms. Saute briefly until onion wilts.
    Break up tomatoes and add with oregano to meat.
    Simmer until done, about 30 to 45 minutes. Serve over rice.
    Serves 4 to 6.
