Marshmallow Jewel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie crust
    20 large marshmallows
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. unflavored gelatin
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped
    1 1/2 c. (1 lb. 1 oz.) canned fruit cocktail, drained
Preparation
    Combine marshmallows and milk in saucepan.
    Cook over low heat until marshmallows are melted, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Soften gelatin in cold water 5 minutes.
    Add softened gelatin, salt and vanilla to marshmallow mixture.
    Mix well.
    Chill until partially set, 30 to 60 minutes.
    Beat chilled marshmallow mixture with electric mixer (medium speed) until smooth.
    Fold in whipped cream and fruit cocktail.
    Put in crust.
