Surprise Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. granulated non-nutritive sweetener
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    6 Tbsp. one of these surprises: chopped nuts, raisins, flaked coconut, dietetic fruit preserves or drained fruit cocktail
    nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Mix eggs, sugar and salt together until well blended. Gradually stir in mix.
    Add vanilla.
    Place one tablespoon surprise ingredients in each of 6 (6-ounce) custard cups.
    Pour custard mixture into cups.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired.
    Set in large baking pan and pour very hot water into pan to within 1/2 inch of top of custards.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until a knife inserted near center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings at 115 calories.
