Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix (Betty Crocker with pudding)
    1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 1/2 sticks (3/4 c.) margarine
    chopped nuts, chocolate chips or both (optional)
Preparation
    Melt in microwave and mix up real good with mixer. Pour on baked cake, then pour the remaining batter on top. Bake 25 minutes longer. It is good to bake the day before needed.
