Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c white sugar
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand until cool. Cream brown sugar, white sugar and shortening together.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt together and add to creamed mixture.
    Beat.
    Add oatmeal and beat well.
    Bake in greased and floured 7 1/2 x 11-inch cake pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
