Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 lb. round steak
1 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. minced onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 (14 -1/2 oz.) can chopped tomatoes, drained
2 c. water
2 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Cut steak into serving sized pieces.
Dip in flour, salt and pepper and brown in oil.
Combine vegetables, water and sugar and pour over steak.
Cover; reduce heat to 200\u00b0 and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Thicken sauce for gravy (1 1/2 c. water mixed with 4 tbsp. flour).
