Original Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients in large bowl.
    Cut in shortening until mixture is \"mealy.\"
    Beat eggs and vanilla. Knead until dough is soft enough to roll into balls the size of walnuts.
    Place on greased cookie sheets.
    Mash flat.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until cookies start to brown.
    The secret is not to overcook these.
