Virginia'S Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    3 Tbsp. powdered buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 egg
    water
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients.
    Add oil, egg and just enough water to make a batter.
    Bake in iron cornstick pans or an iron skillet that has been well-greased and hot.
    While preheating the oven to 400\u00b0, heat the irons or skillet for they must be hot.
    Bake 7 to 8 minutes for cornsticks or 10 minutes in skillet (until browned). Serves 4 to 6.
