Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 2 1/2 lb. beef chunks
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 large onions, diced
    6 potatoes, cut in chunks
    4 carrots, cut in chunks
    salt and pepper to taste
    diced celery
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
Preparation
    Brown beef with onions in oil in a heavy pan.
    Add about 2 cups boiling water and simmer until meat is tender.
    Add other ingredients and cook until vegetables are tender.
