Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 3/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2 c. sifted flour
3 eggs
Preparation

Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
Scald milk.
Add sugar, salt and shortening.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add flour.
Mix well.
Add yeast and eggs; beat until smooth.
Cover and let rise until light and bubbly, about 1 hour.
