Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. grated squash
    4 peppers (2 red and 2 green)
    4 large onions
    5 Tbsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    6 c. sugar
    2 tsp. pickling spice
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Stir together squash, peppers and onions.
    Sprinkle with salt. Let set overnight.
    Store in a colander; rinse with water.
    Bring vinegar and spices to a boil.
    Add squash mixture.
    Bring to a boil.
    Fill jars and seal.
