Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 egg
2 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients together.
Add onion.
Beat the milk and egg together and add to dry ingredients.
Drop by spoonfuls into deep fat heated to 375\u00b0. When they float, they are done.
