Sour Cream-Noodle Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chopped beef
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt
    8 oz. canned tomato sauce
    1 c. creamed cottage cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    6 scallions, chopped (optional)
    mushrooms
    8 oz. medium noodles, cooked and drained
    3/4 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Brown beef in butter; add seasonings and tomato sauce.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, scallions and noodles.
    In a 2-quart casserole, alternate layers, starting with noodles and ending with meat.
    Top with cheese; bake until cheese melts and browns at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Serves 8.
