Pineapple Cranberry Bars(Makes 36 Bars) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. oleo or butter
    1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. brown sugar (divided use)
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in its juice
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 13 x 9-inch baking dish in a medium saucepan.
    Combine cranberries, 3 tablespoons cornstarch and pineapple.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, until cranberry skins pop and mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
