Gravy Baked Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 lean pork chops
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. hot shortening
    1 can cream of chicken, celery or mushroom soup
    2/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper.
    In a 10-inch skillet, brown in hot shortening.
    Pour off drippings.
    Pour around the chops the soup mixed with milk and water.
    Cover and cook chops and gravy about 45 minutes over low heat, stirring now and then, until chops are tender.
    If desired, place in baking dish and bake for 45 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Stir gravy well.
    When the chops are done, the gravy's made.
