Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. sirloin
1 clove garlic
4 Tbsp. flour
6 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. onion, sliced
1 can beef consomme
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. chives
1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation

Rub meat with garlic, cut into strips.
Mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika.
Add meal; toss until coated.
Reserve flour. Heat margarine in skillet; add meat and brown.
Add onion and cook until transparent.
Add flour, consomme, mushrooms and water; cover.
Cook slowly, stirring occasionally for 45 minutes or until tender.
Remove cover and continue cooking until mixture is slightly thickened.
Add sour cream and chives.
Serves 4.
