Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
1/2 c. peanut butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 c. milk, scalded
2 Tbsp. butter
3 egg whites
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks, beaten
1/4 tsp. vanilla
8 Tbsp. sugar
3 egg whites
8 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Make meringue with egg whites and sugar.
Sprinkle remainder of peanut butter mixture over meringue.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until lightly browned.
