Bread Pudding(An 1880 Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. bread crumbs
    2 c. scalded milk
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon and/or nutmeg
Preparation
    Place crumbs in bottom of 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Blend in the remaining ingredients.
    Place baking dish in pan of water. Bake at 350\u00b0 until knife comes out clean, approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
