8 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce
    1 small sweet onion, sliced thin
    1 green pepper
    3 celery stalks, cut small
    1 pkg. frozen peas, cooked, drained and cooled (10 oz. size)
    1/2 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise (spread on)
    5 or 6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/2 lb. bacon, cooked crisp, drained and broken up fine
Preparation
    Layer each ingredient in order listed.
    Do not stir.
    Let stand overnight.
    Cover with foil.
    Put ingredients in a large bowl or pan.
