Annie Mae'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    5 big eggs (the bigger, the better!)
    2 sticks butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating between each.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add to mixture alternately with milk, beating well between each addition.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 25 minutes at 325\u00b0.
