Halifax Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a saucepan, bring brown sugar, butter and boiling water to a boil again. Pour into a casserole dish.
    Mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, raisins, milk and vanilla.
    Drop into the middle of the former mixture and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Makes its own sauce.
