Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    3 c. mashed potatoes (real or instant)
    1/2 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    salt, pepper and garlic powder (season to taste)
Preparation
    Prepare potatoes.
    Cook and crumble meat; season to taste with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    Drain fat from meat.
    Return meat to pan and add soup (don't add water).
    Stir over medium heat; cook well.
    In 2 1/2-quart casserole dish (ungreased), place a layer of potatoes.
    Cover bottom.
    Add a layer of meat and soup mixture.
    Cover top with cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese melts.
