Bill'S Easy Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. unsweetened applesauce (purchased at store)
    7 1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 packets Certo (1 box)
    paraffin wax, melted
Preparation
    In a large kettle, to measured applesauce, add the exact amount of sugar specified.
    Stir in lemon juice and spices. Bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in Certo at once.
    Stir to cool slightly.
    Pour into jelly glasses or odds and ends of small jars. Cover with a thin layer of paraffin wax.
    After it cools some, put lids on.
