Spinach Artichoke Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 finely chopped onion
    3 cloves chopped garlic
    1-1/2 cup sour cream
    8 ozs. cream cheese
    3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
    12 ozs. Monterey Jack cheese with jalapenos
    2 cans artichoke hearts, drained and chopped fine
    2 boxes frozen chopped spinach, cooked a little and drained
    Small amount of evaporated milk if necessary for desired consistency
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter, add onions and garlic.
    Saute until wilted.
    Add spinach and artichokes.
    Cook about 3-5 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Blend well. Heat to melt cheese in microwave or on low heat.
    Serve with tortilla chips.
    Sour cream and salsa optional.
