Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. thinly sliced pickles*
    2 medium white onions, thinly sliced
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. white vinegar
    3/4 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    *Soak pickles overnight, before slicing.
