Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium green tomatoes, cleaned
    1 c. corn meal
    salt to taste
    vegetable oil for frying
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes into 1/2-inch slices.
    Stir salt into meal. Place in a shallow dish.
    Coat tomato slices in meal mix.
    In large skillet, heat 1/4-inch deep oil over medium heat to 350\u00b0. Fry on one side until golden brown; turn and fry other side until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 6 servings.
