Mom'S Sweet Roll Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 pkg. active yeast
    1 1/2 c. warm milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. shortening
    7 to 7 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add all other ingredients, except only half of flour.
    Gradually add remaining flour.
    Mix with hands.
    Turn dough out on lightly floured board.
    Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
    Round in greased bowl, greased side up.
    Cover with damp cloth.
    Let rise in warm place until double (about 1 1/2 hours).
    Punch down and let rise until double again (30 minutes).
