Green Bean & Shiitake Mushroom Sauté - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. shiitake mushrooms, stems removed and sliced
    2/3 cup thinly sliced red onion wedges
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed
    1 large garlic clove, minced
    1 tsp. minced fresh thyme
    1/4 cup chicken broth
    2 tsp. red wine vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
Preparation
    Cook beans until good and tender.
    In a large non stick skillet over medium-high heat cook mushrooms and onion in hot oil for 5 minutes, stirring.
    Add garlic and thyme to mushrooms; cook, stirring, 1 minute more.
    Stir in broth, vinegar, salt, sugar and pepper; bring to a boil, scraping the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon.
    When ready to serve, pour over green beans, and toss to coat. Makes 6 servings.
