Cajun Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium chopped onion
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 medium green pepper
1/2 c. chopped celery
3 minced garlic cloves
4 c. skimmed chicken broth
1 (16 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
2 small pieces bay leaf
1/2 tsp. oregano, dried
1/2 tsp. dried basil
3 c. whole kernel corn
1 c. washed black-eyed peas
3/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper
salt to taste
2 tsp. sugar
Preparation

You may substitute beef broth and 1 can (6 ounces) tomato sauce in place of whole tomatoes and chicken broth.
