Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cooking oil
    2 c. fresh okra
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat oil.
    Slice okra across the pod into small pieces. Combine flour, salt and pepper in a small bag; shake okra in bag until well coated.
    Drop several pieces at a time into deep hot fat until brown.
    Drain in basket.
    Repeat until all are fried. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
