Brown Beef Stew And Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium beef roast or 3 lb. chuck stew meat
    salt and pepper to taste
    flour
    5 carrots
    5 large potatoes
    2 onions
    2 stalks celery
    1 small can peas
    1 can 1889 biscuits
Preparation
    Cut meat into bite size pieces.
    Salt and pepper to taste. Flour heavily and brown with 4 tablespoons extra flour.
    Drain off excess fat.
    Return meat to pot.
    Cut vegetables into bite size pieces.
    Add vegetables to pot.
    Add 3 to 4 cups water.
    Cover and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until meat is tender. Top with biscuits and let brown uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes.
